“1. What did you feel was the main benefit you gained from the home study course?

The main benefit is that I can listen to the tapes in my own time. I have a demanding day job, so the weekends are a good time to do the study. I have tried meditating and getting to Alpha before bed time, and end up asleep – which has also taught me that I don’t need to count sheep anymore .. just get into Alpha – and bingo – restful sleep just happens!

2. What part of the course did you enjoy most and why?

Definitely the meditations are the best part of the course, as they are directed and keep my mind focussed. The personal stories from Michael Wickett are interesting, and helps me to realise where some people are coming from, in their personal development.

3. What part did you enjoy least and why?

I feel that I might have bought the wrong course!! But that’s one of the coincidences of life – because I am a Certified Body Talk practitioner, and I am using my right brain more frequently during treatments and of course the advice or thoughts in right brain are illogical, but totally relevant to my work. This means that the ESP course is the right one, after all – as I must build up confidence in the right brain logic and just learn to trust and go with it. I have also done the “Mindscape” course through Bodytalksystem.com and in that course, one has a imaginative healing room, or laboratory, and by using right brain one can help people heal using distance treatments.

. Have you had any interesting coincidences or events happen in your life since you started applying Silva techniques.

I have been treating two men who have been unconscious and in a coma since October 2006. Now that I am using the “short relax” and knowing that I must help other people first, before I ask the universe for my own things – one of the men spoke his first words (for 12 weeks) by asking for water just 24 hours after I had given him a treatment. Wow – just amazing.

On a general note, I certainly feel more centered and at peace with everyone and all that life brings me. In a traffic jam I am more content just to look at the trees and bushes beside the road, and not my watch! At the moment, nothing gets me worked up because in this it is easier to “go with the flow” and not give away my personal power to anyone by getting angry with them. This feeling definitely comes from doing the meditations and going to Alpha – because I used to re-act to situations just like anyone would. Now, with the knowledge of going to Alpha and taking some deep breaths and just relaxing all those muscles I can keep my equilibrium.

I have also signed up, on-line, for the Basic Silva Ultra Mind course which is come to me on-line. I have read lesson 1, and will try and do lesson 2 this evening. That’s the course I originally wanted to do, as I have the book (printed in 1977) which I have worked through, and am busy re-reading it, so I already know the “instant Alpha access” technique.”
